On a Shared Hosting Plan, there is currently no direct way to access cPanel’s FTP Connections tool and manually disconnect extra connections. Our Shared and Reseller plans allow up to 8 simultaneous FTP connections from 1 IP address at a time, but you cannot raise this limit. Increasing this limit will prevent the error messages that we’ll review later in this tutorial. With VPS, and Dedicated hosting plans you can modify the number of simultaneous connections allowed in their WHM and the default setting is usually 8 or 10. Idle FTP connections are caused when an FTP client opens multiple connections without closing the previous ones, or due to an incorrect setting. unfortunately the old computer has been formatted and is out of service so I can not export the file again and import it into the new computer with the older version of filezilla.Idle FTP Connections What is / causes an idle FTP connection? I exported the file for an older version and imported the file into the newest version of filezilla. He has a lot of sites to change the passwords to and it will be cumbersome however we are hoping someone can explain why this happened. I went to the hosting site and changed the password on one of the FTP sites he has set up, then changed the password in the Site Management in FileZilla, press connect and it works. I uninstall the new version of Filezilla and installed the version he had before and he was still getting the 530 error message. When the user went to use Filezilla he was getting the 530 login authentication failed message. We ordered an computer, I exported the FileZilla files from the old computer and imported it into the new computer and new version of Filezilla.
One of my End Users uses FileZilla and his computer was extremely slow, it was Windows 7 Pro. I too am/was receiving this 530 Login Authentication Failed message.
